In this 25-minute Tools of the Trade webinar, participants will learn the basic functions of If/When/How’s Judicial Bypass Wikipedia and how to navigate the website’s search function to gather information on the their state’s laws in relation to parental notification and consent for abortion, as well as the judicial bypass process. Participants will have an opportunity to practice or observe navigating the website.

“One of our counselors worked directly with a client to connect her to an abortion clinic. There was some concern about how far along she was and how she’d pay for the procedure, and whether the pregnancy was the result of an assault or her consensual partner. We talked about getting a DNA test, and talked with the courts about that (they’re super expensive!). We worked with her for a couple of weeks while she decided what to do, and once she got the DNA test she wanted the abortion, so we were able to coordinate some financial support for her as well.”
